Get Involved
Students, Educators & Volunteers
Students
- On your own or with a group of friends, you can fulfill your community service requirement by making no-sew fleece blankets for Project Linus or you can create lovely muslin squares that our blanketeers will make into a cheery quilt.
Educators
- Project Linus provides a wonderful opportunity for community service projects and for skill building activities. Children 5 and up love to help creating quilt squares with muslin and fabric markers. All students enjoy making and giving a no-sew fleece blanket a colorful and cheerful pattern.
Volunteering
- Wellington/Royal Palm Beach circle meets at the Old Wellington Mall food court every Friday afternoon from 2:30-5 ish pm
- "Knitting for a Cause" circle meets every Wednesday morning at the Hagen Ranch Library main meeting room from 10:00am - noon. Our monthly meetings are also held at the Hagen Ranch Library. The meetings are usually the last Sunday of each month from 2 to 3:30 pm . Donations of yarn and fabric are distributed at this meeting when they are available. This is a great way to meet most of our volunteers. Attend with or without a finished blanket. Feel free to bring your latest project along. Or you can work from home and drop off your finished blankets at the meetings listed above or email me. worksforpeanuts@bellsouth.net (Kathy Adams)
